Musical Enrichment Programs

The Arts Council of Central Louisiana's (ACCL) innovative Musical Enrichment programs, dedicated to serving our diverse community with service-oriented programming. Through initiatives like our Creative Aging's "Anyone Can Play Ukulele", we prioritize the well-being and creativity of older adults by offering accessible arts engagement opportunities. Our sequential music lessons provided free of charge at local institutions like the Rapides Parish Library, the Alexandria Museum of Art and Canterbury Assisted Living Facility, not only impart musical skills but foster social connections and intergenerational learning.                                       We have collaborated with the LaSalle Economic Development District for their #Thrive program, where they emphasize empowering rural youth with music education and a platform for creative expression. The #Thrive program is dedicated to helping kids find their passion and addressing critical issues like substance abuse prevention.                                                                                                If you have a vision for service-oriented programming or want to contribute to our mission of enriching lives through the arts, we'd love to hear from you. Together, let's build a brighter, more vibrant future for Central Louisiana.

Outreach Programs

When we bring a large production to town, we strive to include a community outreach element as part of our commitment to making art as accessible as possible. We extend the transformative power of the arts to rural schools through our outreach efforts. We believe in breaking down barriers and empowering underserved youth by connecting them with professional dancers, choreographers, musicians, and directors. Whether bringing students to us or going directly to schools for master classes with traveling professionals, we offer interactive and immersive educational experiences that ignite creativity and inspire passion. From one-day workshops to more extensive programs, we cater to the needs and interests of our community. Our goal is to cultivate talent, foster a deep appreciation for the performing arts, and nurture the next generation of performers and enthusiasts. Join us in shaping a brighter future for Central Louisiana through exposure to the arts.
